Benefits & Cost Savings of Commercial Solar in Texas; and how The Inflation Reduction Act ups the value.

AUSTIN, TEXAS, March 5, 2024 — Axis Solar, a leading commercial solar power provider headquartered in Austin, announced today that it expects to install ~20 mW of energy in Texas throughout 2024. This is in addition to its recent growth of ~10mW installed in 2023. From rooftop solar arrays to ground mounts, Axis Solar has completed over a dozen commercial projects in the state. It expects to complete 8-10 commercial projects across Texas this year.

Paloma Ridge, the largest behind-the-meter solar project in Austin produced by Axis Solar and Radial Power, was completed in 2023 and offers carport and rooftop arrays. The project’s renewable energy will offset more than 3,400 metric tons of CO₂ annually.

In addition to the Paloma Ridge project, Axis Solar has other Austin-based projects it recently completed including Encino Trace and Lakeline. Lakeline will host a nearly 1.5mW solar rooftop array installation on a parking complex with additional carport arrays and expects to offset approximately 1,415 metric tons of CO₂ annually. It has already received Austin Energy’s rebate approval.
